Trevecca Volleyball Fundraising Event
Since 2021, I have organized an annual fundraiser dinner for our volleyball program, raising between $10,000 and $20,000 each year. This event has become a significant support avenue for our team, allowing us to enhance resources and opportunities for our athletes. I manage every aspect of the fundraiser, including event logistics, coordinating speakers, engaging alumni, sending invitations, and ensuring strong attendance. The event is supported by university stakeholders who prioritize attending, making it an impactful and collaborative occasion for our program and its community.

Costa Rica Foreign Tour: A Milestone Achievement for Trevecca Volleyball
In August 2024, I successfully organized and led the first-ever foreign tour for the Trevecca Nazarene University Volleyball program, taking our entire team and coaching staff to Costa Rica. This initiative was a transformational experience for our athletes, combining high-level competition, cultural exploration, and community service in an international setting. The tour was made possible through extensive fundraising efforts..
The Costa Rica tour provided our team with invaluable life experiences, from competing against international teams to engaging in a service project that allowed our athletes to give back to the local community. This initiative not only enriched our players' collegiate experience but also elevated the visibility of our volleyball program, making a lasting impact on recruiting and establishing a legacy for future teams.
This milestone is a testament to my commitment to creating transformative opportunities for student-athletes, my ability to organize large-scale events, and my proven success in strategic fundraising.

Master Coach and Recruiting Coordinator | Ethos Volleyball Club (Nashville, TN | 2011- 2019)
As Assistant Director, Master Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator, I played a key role in expanding Ethos Volleyball into one of the largest clubs in the Metro Nashville area. In the club’s third year, I launched its north satellite branch, which soon grew to become the club’s primary location. Guided by a Master Coach philosophy, Ethos Volleyball prioritizes consistent, high-quality instruction across all teams, with master coaches ensuring alignment in training standards and expectations. As Recruiting Coordinator, I served as the main link between our athletes and college coaches, providing essential support to players aspiring to compete at the collegiate level. My responsibilities included leading recruiting seminars, crafting informative newsletters, guiding players in creating and promoting skills footage, and advocating for their recruitment.

I believe in a “player first” approach to coaching. That means coaching, motivating, supporting the whole person, not simply the athlete on the court. In today’s world where more and more young people battle anxiety, depression, and general insecurity, I strive to coach players in a way that helps them understand that their identity is not found solely in their sport. I believe that positive coaching yields winning results. My program records speak for themselves.
I love program building. For me, coaching has never been about the next career move, but rather, what “special thing” can we build together in this place where we are. To do that, I train athletes to be better players on the court, but also better teammates to each other. From the beginning, I shape team culture by building trust, modeling and encouraging vulnerability, elevating the standards for accountability, and operating from a place of love. When players feel safe and supported, they aren’t afraid to fail. Every good coach knows that if you have a group of athletes with no fear of failure, then you have a team willing to compete at the highest level.
I have a thorough, advanced understanding of the game of volleyball. I know how to teach it, and I know how to mentor young women so that they feel empowered to be successful athletes and members of their communities. I run an efficient, fast-pace results driven practice, and I effectively teach skills to develop proper mechanics in players. I use statistics and film study to inform my coaching decisions. I am organized and efficient. I have a great rapport with the other coaches in the athletic department, my NCAA compliance officer, and my athletic director.

As a member of Trevecca Athletics' executive leadership team, I have contributed to major strategic initiatives across the university. I played a central role in Trevecca’s transition from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference to the Gulf South Conference, guiding the invitation and transition process. I also serve on the capital campaign committee for a new athletics facility for basketball, volleyball, and stunt. In addition, I act as the liaison between athletics, the nursing department, and the provost's office, ensuring our student-athletes thrive academically and athletically. Within athletics, I have contributed to the hiring committees for Men's and Women's Basketball and Women's Soccer head coaches. I also manage internal communication, liaising with the provost's office and student development to keep messaging cohesive and clear.
Beyond athletics, I have served on the university’s COVID-care team, the Trevecca Hospitality Committee—focused on streamlining our messaging for a welcoming campus environment—and the McClurken Scholarship Panel, where I meet with candidates vying for our competitive full-ride scholarships.
